Usage
Video Editor blends AI prompts with manual controls. Start by describing the edit, then fine-tune anything by hand.
Prompt-driven editing
The prompt bar is the fastest way to make changes. Prompts are cumulative โ each one builds on the current state of your project.
Good prompts are specific about what and where:
โ
Remove every silence longer than one second
โ
Add captions in the bottom third, white text, bold
โ
Cut everything after the 2-minute mark
โ
Speed up the intro by 1.5x
โ Make it better
โ Fix the videoUndo is your friend
Every prompt is a discrete step. Use Undo (or the history panel) to walk back any change you don't like without losing the rest.
Manual controls
When you want precision, the toolbar covers the essentials:
| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
| Split | Cut a clip at the playhead |
| Trim | Drag clip edges to shorten |
| Captions | Edit text, font, position, and timing |
| Audio | Adjust volume, mute, or detach audio |
| Speed | Slow down or speed up a selection |
Captions
Captions are generated automatically when you ask for them, then fully editable:
- Click any caption to fix wording.
- Restyle font, size, color, and position from the Captions panel.
- Re-time a caption by dragging its block on the track.
Exporting
Exports render in the cloud. Larger projects take longer; you'll get a notification when the file is ready. Download from the Export panel or your project's history.
